Which Riga greenhouse size do I need?

  • Riga S series (8 ft wide): Riga 2s (8 x 7), 3s (8 x 11) and 4s (8 x 14). Good for smaller yards.
  • Riga series (10 ft wide): Riga 3 (10 x 11), 4 (10 x 14) and 5 (10 x 18). Our most popular all-rounders.

Why is a Riga good for winter?

Hoklartherm uses 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate or thicker. The manufacturer calls thinner greenhouses "season extenders" because they cost too much to heat through a real winter. The frame is sturdy aluminum, and the Riga 5, for example, comes with automatic roof and rear windows and a locking barn-style door. Is a Riga greenhouse good in snow?

Yes. Its rounded roof sheds snow and its frame is built for cold climates. Still brush off heavy snow after big storms, as with any greenhouse.

What is the difference between Riga and Riga XL?

The Riga is 8 or 10 ft wide with twin-wall polycarbonate. The Riga XL is 14 ft wide with thicker 16mm triple-wall polycarbonate for more space and better insulation.

Can I grow all winter in a Riga?

Yes, with a heater in cold areas. The insulated glazing keeps heating costs much lower than thin polycarbonate or single glass.
