Hoklartherm KGT Berlin Solarveranda Lean-To Sunroom Greenhouse

The Berlin Solarveranda is a German-made lean-to sunroom that attaches to your house wall and turns a patio into a bright, sheltered garden room. Its graceful curved aluminum frame rises from the ground to your wall, and the front is made of large sliding panels that glide open almost completely. Open it up on warm days for a shaded patio roof, or close it when the weather turns and enjoy a protected summer garden for plants, dining and relaxing.

Each Berlin is built to order by Hoklartherm (KGT) in Germany, the maker of the famous Riga greenhouses, and is sold in the US through Exaco. Choose from four depths (6 ft 7 in to 16 ft 5 in) and widths from 7 ft 1 in to 27 ft 8 in along your wall, in three frame colors.

Specifications and Benefits of the Berlin Solarveranda:

  • ✔ Lean-to design: mounts to a solid, vertical house wall with a sealed wall connection profile.
  • ✔ Large multi-section sliding front panels that open the room almost completely, with smooth-running sliding elements and brush seals.
  • ✔ Heavy-duty aluminum profiles for strength and a long, low-maintenance life.
  • ✔ Glazing: Plexiglass (acrylic) is recommended: 6 mm roof glazing, or 8 mm twin-wall Plexiglass, with 4 mm Plexiglass sliding panels. Tempered glass is available on all sizes (contact us for a quote).
  • ✔ Frame colors: Anthracite Grey (DB 703), White (RAL 9016) or Silver (RAL 9006).
  • ✔ Premium lockable door handle.
  • ✔ Anchor brackets for fixing to your foundation.
  • ✔ Highly customizable: extra doors, sliding windows in the end walls and other options are available. Ask us.

Sizes:

Depth is how far the Berlin reaches out from your wall. Width is the length along your wall. Height is at the wall connection.

Good to Know Before You Order:

  • ✔ The Berlin needs a flat, firm and level base, such as a concrete slab or foundation, and a sound vertical wall to attach to.
  • ✔ It is an uninsulated sunroom, ideal for three-season use, overwintering patio plants and enjoying your garden in any weather. For heated winter growing, see our insulated Riga greenhouses.
  • ✔ Assembly: at least 2 people. A drill, level and basic hand tools are needed.
  • ✔ Made to order in Germany. Please contact us for the current lead time.

Overview

The Berlin Solarveranda turns your patio into a garden room you can use in any weather. It is a lean-to sunroom from Hoklartherm, the German maker of the Riga greenhouses. A graceful curved aluminum frame rises from the ground and attaches to your house wall, so the Berlin feels like part of your home.

The front is made of large multi-section sliding panels that glide open almost completely. On warm days it works as a bright, sheltered patio roof. When the weather turns, slide the panels shut and you have a protected summer garden for plants, dining and relaxing.

Choose from four depths, from 6' 7" to 16' 5", and widths along your wall from 7' 1" to 27' 8". Plexiglass glazing comes standard, tempered glass is available on every size, and the frame comes in Anthracite Grey, White or Silver.

Our tip: Measure the wall you want to build against and check that the ground in front is level, then send us a photo. We'll help you pick the right depth and width.

How delivery works

  1. 1

    You place your order

Choose your size, color and options. Your greenhouse ships from the manufacturer's warehouse, packed for freight.

  2. 2

    We call to schedule

We'll contact you to set up a delivery time frame that works for you.

  3. 3

    Free curbside freight

Delivery is by LTL motor freight on an 18-wheeler. Let us know about tight roads or low wires so we can plan ahead.

  4. 4

    Receive and unload

Someone needs to be there to receive the delivery. The driver does most of the work but may need a hand.

Foundations and bases are bulky, so we recommend ordering them together with your greenhouse to avoid a separate freight charge.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Our greenhouse specialists are happy to help you choose.

678-408-8222 Email us
How do I pick the right Berlin size?
Choose the depth first: Berlin II reaches 6' 7" out from your wall, Berlin III 9' 10", Berlin IV 13' 2" and Berlin V 16' 5". Then pick the width along your wall, from 7' 1" (Type 2) up to 27' 8" (Type 8). Send us a photo of your wall and patio and we'll help you choose.
What do I need to install it?
A flat, firm and level base such as a concrete slab or foundation, and a sound vertical wall to attach it to, usually your house wall. Anchor brackets fix the frame to the foundation. Assembly takes at least two people and basic tools, including a hammer drill and a level.
Can I use it in winter?
The Berlin is an uninsulated sunroom. It protects plants and furniture from wind, rain and light frost and is ideal for three-season living and overwintering patio plants. For heated winter growing, look at our insulated Riga greenhouses.
Plexiglass or tempered glass?
Plexiglass is recommended. It is light, impact resistant and comes standard. Tempered glass is available on all sizes for a classic glass look. Contact us for a tempered glass quote.
How long does delivery take?
Each Berlin is made to order by Hoklartherm in Germany. Call us at 678-408-8222 for the current lead time. Delivery is free curbside by freight truck.
Is shipping really free?

Yes. Shipping is free. Locations with limited access, such as islands, are rare exceptions that may carry an extra fee, and we'll tell you before anything ships.

Do you offer a price match?

Yes. If you find the same greenhouse for less from an authorized dealer, call or email us with the offer and we'll review it.

Are you an authorized retailer?

Yes. Mulberry Greenhouses is an authorized retailer, so your greenhouse is covered by the full manufacturer warranty.
