Shade on demand. These German-made Hoklartherm roll-up shades pull down on hot, bright days and roll away when you want full light. The reflective aluminum weave gives 60% shade and keeps your greenhouse cooler. Mount them on the roof (one roll covers both roof slopes) or on a side wall. Six widths: 39", 47", 59", 78", 88" and 98". Pulls out up to 8 ft. Manual spring roller with cord and flag cleat.

Which shades do I need for my greenhouse?
Check the size chart in the Overview above. It lists the exact roof and wall shades for every Royal Victorian, Junior Victorian and Modern model, with a one-click button for each roof set. Wall shades are per wall, so order one set for each wall you want to shade.
What is the difference between the roof and side wall styles?
The roof style hangs from the middle line or rafters as one roll that covers both the left and right side, up to 8 ft each. The side wall style is a single roll mounted against the inside of the gutter profiles or the bottom of the rafters.
Can I get a custom width?
The shades come in six standard widths: 39", 47", 59", 78", 88" and 98". The size chart shows the mix of widths that gives the best coverage for each greenhouse. If your greenhouse isn't listed, call us and we'll work it out with Exaco.
Are they motorized?
No. They work like a window blind, on a spring roller. Pull the shade down by its cord, wrap the cord around the flag cleat to hold it, and let it roll back up when you're done.
Do they protect plants from frost?
No. These shades are made to block strong sun and heat, not cold. For frost protection you need a greenhouse heater.
Will they fit my Riga, Livingten or another greenhouse?
The sizing guide covers the Royal Victorian, Junior Victorian and Modern. For any other model, call or email us with your greenhouse name and we'll check the fit with the manufacturer before you order.
How far do they pull out?
The length is up to 8 ft. On the roof style, one roll covers both the left and right side, up to 8 ft each.
Are there installation instructions?
Yes. The sizing guide and the assembly guides for the roof (ridge) and side wall mounts are in the documents below, along with a setup video. For the Royal Victorian roof, the video explains both install methods at 1:35.
